According to a recent analysis of the United States, it has come to light that Tennessee has the 17th highest population in the country. Over the past 2 years, the population has gone up with the addition of 140,000+ residents, bringing the current census to 6,486,827 residents, according to an estimate from On Numbers. The Memphis movers know that the more the local population grows, the more the demand for real estate will grow.
Memphis has held the 17th spot fairly consistently, as it was ranked 17th when the U.S. Census Report came out in 2010. California remains at the top position, followed by Texas, New York, Florida and Illinois.
At the opposite end of the report was Wyoming, with a total of about 577,000 residents.
