Looking for something completely unique to do in order to celebrate Halloween this year? Look no further, because once your Memphis moving company gets you to your new home, you and your family can head on over to the 2015 Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest!
That’s right – an underwater pumpkin carving contest. All you need is a team of two or more to carve pumpkins in scuba gear or with snorkels. This is one of the most popular fall events for Memphis locals, so don’t be surprised if you look over and see your Memphis movers on a competing team! The whole family can participate in the Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest, just make sure that children under the age of 15 have an adult partner.
Other rules for the 2015 Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest include:
- Scuba users must have their dive certification
- Contestants must complete the pumpkin carving and surface within one hour
- Competitors must supply their own carving tools
- All pumpkin pieces must surface with the contestants
- A Liability Waiver must be signed
- All underwater teams must register
If underwater pumpkin carving does not seem like your thing, then you can always still get involved by volunteering to help set-up the event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Or, you can simply enjoy having your Memphis moving company getting you settled into your new home, and use your extra time to bring your family to watch the contest. There will be plenty there for everyone to enjoy, including activities for children, a costume contest, delicious barbecue, and live music from the Double D Band.
