If you are looking to move to a state and city that cares about the earth, move to Memphis before 2019 and be a part of the city that wants to be clean.
Greater Memphis Chamber officials are pushing for a four-year effort to clean up litter and waste found around Memphis. The economic and community development organization is calling it a “moon mission”, one that cares about Memphis being a home to so many people; and Memphis officials care about their “home”.
Spence Wilson Jr., Principal of Kemmons Wilson Companies says that, “Memphis is our home, and how our home looks is a direct reflection of how we look at ourselves and how others look at us.”
But the Greater Memphis Chamber does not want to just be the cleanest city, they also want the city to flourish; aiming to boost entrepreneurship and education efforts.
When it comes to promoting entrepreneurship in the city, the chamber’s Memphis Entrepreneurship Powered Innovation Center has goals to create 1,000 jobs in a ten-year span. The jobs that the chamber is aiming to create, deal in the fields of logistics, emerging technologies, health care, bioscience, and information and software technology.
The chamber is also splitting $70 million between Shelby and Davidson counties for early childhood education initiatives; $35 million of which will go directly to Shelby County schools in order to create more classrooms.
The chamber has a Chairman’s Circle that consists of over 100 business leaders that continuously push considerable goals for the Memphis area.
Memphis moving companies want new residents to be assured that they are moving to a city that is thriving, not just now, but in the future as well. If you are moving to Tennessee, check out the Bluff City and let our moving family help move your family to the city that is always striving to improve.
