Guide to Downtown Neighborhoods in Memphis

With each district of Downtown neighborhoods in Memphis offering its own unique feel and wide variety of experiences, it’s no wonder people are moving to Memphis! To learn more about the districts in downtown, check out this guide to Downtown neighborhoods in Memphis from All My Sons Moving & Storage.
Uptown Memphis – In a few short years, Uptown has been turned into a vibrant neighborhood perfect for families moving to Memphis. This district offers residents the opportunity to buy a quality home for an eye-catching price, close to outdoor walking and biking trails.

Mud Island – Situated across the AW Wills Bridge, Mud Island is home to over 5,000 residents. Living on Mud Island means being in close proximity to nature and all things outdoors. Homes on the Peninsula of Mud Island are considered resort-like, but charming as well.

The Pinch – Known for being Memphis’ first neighborhood, The Pinch in Downtown Memphis has taken a positive turn since the days of residents having “pinched guts” due to poverty and hunger. The Pinch is now a hub for commerce, with a newly opened Bass Pro Outdoor World and growing St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Victorian Village – Victorian Village is one of Memphis’ most historical neighborhoods and is known as “Millionaire’s Row”. Victorian Village is where the local rich and famous called home through the 1800s and many of those homes are still standing today. If you’re moving to Memphis, plan on taking a ride over to Victorian Village to visit some of the historical museums or bed and breakfasts that are now operated out of these beautiful homes.
