The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis ReStore saw its largest sale day of the year, with their 2014 “Go North ReStock the ReStore” event; raking in over $10,000 in sales.
Director of Marketing and Communications for Memphis Habitat Jessica N. Hord, explained that this year’s ReStock and ReStore event was, “a successful event in that it generated not only a nice number of donations on that particular day, it also increased our sales, increased the number of calls to the ReStore and helped generate an increase in website traffic. And we continue to see the residual effects of the event in terms of awareness…The donations are so important because we can’t raise money to support Habitat’s mission if we don’t have donated items to sell.”
If you have recently moved to Memphis, the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and local moving companies want you to check out Memphis’ Habitat for Humanity ReStore for anything that you may need to buy for your new home, and the greatest part is that the money from your purchase will go towards Habitat for Humanity efforts.
Director of Construction and Retail Operations for Memphis Habitat Greg Webb, says that they even have a lot of Christmas supplies that families in the area can take advantage of, and that they are inexpensive compared to the larger retail chains.
Memphis Daily News calls the store “a shopper’s paradise, including virtually everything you can think of, even the kitchen sink” so be sure to check it out and you may find items for your new home, at great prices.
